Alfred Martin Robinson & Mary Ellen Doran
On the fourth day of May, eighteen hundred ninety-five whereas the Right-Reverend C. A. Marois, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Quebec has granted a dispensation from the publication of the banns and whereas at the Prone of Grand Mass in St. Patrick's Church the banns of Marriage between Alfred Martin Robinson, son of age of George Robinson and the late Margaret O'Brien on the one part and Mary Ellen Doran, daughter of age of the late James Doran and Bridget Doyle on the other part: we the undersigned priest having discovered no impediment to their marriage, have their mutual consent to be united in the bonds of holy matrimony and having given them the nuptial benediction in presence of Patrick Doyle and M. P. Connolly, both undersigned with the contracting parties."

- The marriage of Miss Margaret Robinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Robinson, of Quebec, to Mr. Francis Bussiere, of Montreal, took place quietly at eight o'clock on Monday morning in the new St. Patricks Church, Grande Allee, Quebec. In the afternoon Mrs. Robinson entertained at a reception at her residence, 174 Maple, Avenue, from four until six o'clock.

L'Anse-de-Meres was so named because the land adjacent to that section of road was owned by the Ursulines. They would fish in that area. The road was renamed boulevard Champlain.
