Extract from the register of St-Colomba-de-Sillery Church: "Marriage 12 - G. Robertson & Marg. O'Brien On the sixteenth of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight by virtue of a dispensation granted by the Very Reverend C. F. • Notes

  Godmother - Margaret Ashington Christopher-Bell (Aunt). George was raised as an Episcopalian. When he married Margaret O'Brien, he agreed to bring up the children in the Roman Catholic faith. He never converted. When Margaret died, her sister Mary Ellen O'Brien, who had never married, took over the responsibility of bringing up the children. Mount Herman Cemetery is located at the corner of Maguire Avenue and St-Louis Road in Sillery, Quebec. St-Columba-de-Sillery Church is now known as St-Michael and is located at the bottom of Sillery Hill, Sillery, Quebec.
